St. John's Medical Center announces a new "Mind-Body Skills Group”
series to help individuals going through life changes, stress and illness.
This new group, facilitated by Maureen Molinari, MS, RD, LD, CDE, will
introduce Mind-Body Skills including Meditation, Guided Imagery, Self-Hypnosis,
Biofeedback, Breath Work, Movement, Journal Writing and Drawing. The 10-week
series will begin on Wednesday, February 6, from 6-8 pm, at St. John's
Medical Center. Pre-registration is required, by calling307-739-7620.
Cost is $80.
Mind-Body Skills Groups offer significant benefits for people with cancer,
depression/anxiety, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, fertility
issues, arthritis, diabetes and post-traumatic stress. In addition, Mind-Body
Skills groups also benefit people dealing with stressful life changes
including divorce, separation, bereavement and menopause.
“Learning skills and strategies to balance life’s stress, including
managing diabetes, is essential to living well with a chronic health issue,”
said Catherine Cullinane, RN, Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator. “I’m
excited to have this program available at St. John’s for our community,” she said.
