Chris Smithwick, CCC-SLP,MA

About Chris

Chris Smithwick is a speech-language pathologist and certified brain injury specialist at Teton Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. A Jackson Hole High School graduate, Chris is proud to be back in Wyoming serving the community where he grew up.

Chris specializes in cognitive skills therapy for patients with brain injuries, concussions, strokes, chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment ("chemo brain"), ADD, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, and other neurological conditions. He also treats swallowing disorders, stuttering and other speech disorders, and aphasia. Trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy, Chris incorporates these techniques to help patients navigate the emotional impacts that changes in function can bring. He loves the variety his work provides and the opportunity to learn from people of all ages and backgrounds.
