Eric A. Wieman, MD,FACS

About Eric

Dr. Eric Wieman graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City where he did his medical residency in General Surgery, and is a graduate of the University College Cork Faculty of Medicine, Medical School. Dr. Wieman also completed a fellowship in Interventional Endoscopy and Therapeutic ERCP at the University of Louisville. This extensive fellowship provided experience in Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, (ERCP) including complex pancreatic and biliary tract surgery and interventional endoscopy.

Dr. Wieman is a highly regarded general and robotic surgeon with a focus on interventional endoscopy and ERCP. He was recruited in 2017 to join St. John’s Health and is in clinical practice with St. John’s General Surgery. Dr. Wieman is highly skilled at a wide variety of surgical procedures including colon and rectal resection, oncologic surgery, gallbladder surgery, hernia repair, as well as complex multi-specialty operations. He has been performing robotic-assisted surgery and has extensive experience with multi-port and single-incision colon resection, oncologic surgery, gallbladder removal, stomach procedures, and splenectomy.

Most important to Dr. Wieman is patient care. He understands that each patient is an individual, and that each operation is unique to that patient
