About Kelly

Dr. Kelly Baxter was born and raised in Cheyenne, WY. She fell in love with Jackson Hole as a child while visiting her grandparents, who still live and ski in the area, and always dreamt she would return to live here someday. Kelly is thrilled to join the local community and St. John’s Health and is working as a primary care and urgent care physician. She values the time she spends with her patients and believes healthcare should be personalized. She is certified in integrative medicine through the University of Arizona and is passionate about preventative and geriatric medicine. During residency, she pursued additional training in nutrition, weight loss medicine, sports medicine, and mental health care. In her free time, Kelly enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking, surfing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, rafting, golfing, and just about any other outdoor activity. Kelly is passionate about seeing the world and learning from other cultures and has been fortunate to complete several research projects and global health trips around the world.

Dr. Baxter is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She earned her bachelor's degree from University of Wyoming and her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. She completed her family medicine residency at Saint Anthony North Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
