Nathan R. Blue, MD

About Nathan

Nathan R. Blue, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, who specializes in high-risk pregnancies. As a Women’s Reproductive Health Research scholar, Dr. Blue is interested in studying the treatment of placental abnormalities, unanticipated pregnancy events, and fetal growth restriction. He has carried out research and published on the management of preeclampsia and preterm birth, with an ongoing focus and special expertise in stillbirth and fetal growth restriction.

Dr. Blue received his Medical Degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California, followed by a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Los Angeles County – USC Medical Center, where he developed a passion for research and caring for underserved women. He completed a Fellowship at the University of New Mexico and has joined University of Utah Health as a Women's Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) grant recipient. Dr. Blue is also fluent in Spanish and has enjoyed working with Spanish speaking populations.
