St. John’s Health cardiologist William Mullen, MD, and cardiology nurse practitioner Stephanie Ferris, NP-C, will present “Give Your Heart Some Love” on Tuesday, February 23, 6:00-7:00 pm. They will be joined by cardiac rehabilitation specialist Nola Peacock, PT, DSc. Topics in this virtual talk include how to avoid seeing a cardiologist, the effects of COVID-19 on heart health, and a question and answer session.
“The more people can get educated and understand how outside factors influence their own bodies, the better they can care for themselves,” said Dr. Mullen. “We hope to empower people so that they see us for preventive measures, not on an emergency basis.”
Dr. Mullen is board certified in cardiovascular disease. His professional interests include arrhythmia, heart failure, myocardial infarction, and non-invasive cardiac testing. Board-certified nurse practitioner Stephanie Ferris is passionate about rural healthcare, women’s health, and cardiology. Both are based in Jackson at St. John’s Health.
