Me, Breast Cancer and The Gifts of Imperfection™

  • Categories: Cancer Care

About This Event

This interactive two-day workshop will guide participants through the “Gifts of Imperfection™” curriculum, (created by and based on research of Brené Brown PhD.) The curriculum will be used as a framework to explore how becoming more authentic and living a “wholehearted life” can make dealing with cancer a somewhat more bearable situation. How do you do this? Through understanding and facing our vulnerabilities we build resilience, self-acceptance and self-compassion. This workshop will be interactive and will use experiential and expressive interventions throughout the day.

Participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with The Gifts of Imperfection™ prior to attendance. Free copies are included with this event!

About the Facilitator

Andi Berry, MHR, ATR-BC, LPC, NCC, CDWF has a lot of letters after her name. Mostly, Andi likes to think of herself as part of a healing community.

Over the years Andi has specialized in supporting people dealing with medical issues, caregiver issues, bereavement issues, relational work and addressing how shame inhibits resilience and connection. She has specialty training in psycho-oncology (cancer counseling). Andi owns and operates Wyoming Art Therapy & Medical Counseling LLC, located in Laramie Wyoming. She has recently shifted into semi-retirement focusing primarily on workshops.

To heal herself, Andi loves to hike with her husband and dogs, fly fish, and camp. She has recently become a grandmother and is all too ready to show you too many pictures of her beloved grandson, Jasper.
