Community invited to groundbreaking for Sage Living

Community invited to groundbreaking for Sage Living

The public is invited to a ceremonial groundbreaking for Sage Living on Thursday, July 18, at 10:00 am on the medical center campus in East Jackson. “We look forward to celebrating the beginning of construction with the community.” said St. John’s Medical Center CEO Paul Beaupre, MD. “This new facility will be a remarkable asset for Teton County, providing a modern residence and exceptional care for seniors so they may live near family and friends and continue to grow and participate in our community as they age.”

Sage Living, which will replace St. John’s Living Center on the medical center campus in East Jackson, will be the only program in the Jackson Hole area to provide long term nursing care, featuring private rooms, a memory support neighborhood for residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, and an acute physical and functional rehabilitation program for those recovering from stroke, traumatic injury, and illness such as COPD and heart failure.

The event will include brief remarks by community and civic leaders as well as officials from St. John’s Medical Center and St. John’s Hospital Foundation. Attendees will also hear from Living Center resident family members. Sage Living information will be provided along with refreshments and entertainment by Living Center volunteer Judd Grossman.

“The compelling need for Sage Living has been embraced throughout the entire community,” said Beaupre, “from the support of SPET voters in 2017, to St. John’s staff, to everyone who participated in surveys and town hall meetings. We are particularly grateful to St. John’s Hospital Foundation and community donors for their ongoing commitment and support for this vital project.”
