New physicians, services available at St. John's Physician Practices

People seeking a primary care provider or psychiatric care for children now have two new options. St. John’s Physician Practices has added Kevin Sanville, MD, to its Family Health & Urgent Care practice. In addition, the medical group has opened a new practice, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, which is staffed by psychiatrist Kathleen Logan, MD.

“The expertise of these well-qualified physicians helps address important needs in our community,” said Martin Trott, MD, medical director of St. John’s Physician Practices. “We invite the public to get to know them and other providers at our upcoming Meet & Greet event on Tuesday, November 13 from 5 to 6:30 pm at the Wort.”


Family MedicineKevin Sanville, MD
Family medicine is a medical specialty that provides continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and family, encompassing all ages, both sexes, each organ system, and all diseases. Board-certified in family medicine, Kevin Sanville, MD, previously served as the lead physician at a patient-centered medical home at the University Health Center at the University of Georgia. Dr. Sanville also taught primary care as a clinical associate professor of medicine at the Medical College of Georgia and the UGA Medical Partnership in Athens. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine as well as a master’s degree in nutrition from Tufts University. Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Kathleen Logan, MDPsychiatry is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in mental health—they are qualified to assess both the mental and physical aspects of psychological problems. Kathleen Logan, MD, provides assessments, diagnostic formulation, and treatment plans based on a biopsychosocialmodel. She diagnoses, formulates treatment plans, and prescribes and monitors evidence-based psychopharmacology for patients ages 2 to 20. Board-certified in adult as well as child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Logan practiced at the Mayo Clinic for 34 years in outpatient, inpatient, and consultative settings.
