Screenings for Diabetes Awareness Month at St. John’s Health

Screenings for Diabetes Awareness Month at St. John’s Health

In recognition of Diabetes Awareness Month, St. John’s Health will offer free diabetes screenings throughout November to help identify individuals with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes.

The screening will include an A1C test, which measures an individual’s average blood sugar level over the past three months. Information on diet and exercise will also be provided.

If you are age 45 or older and you identify with at least one of the following, you are eligible for this screening: a family history of diabetes, overweight, not a regular exerciser, low HDL cholesterol and/or high triglycerides, high blood pressure, or gestational diabetes.

To schedule an appointment for the screening, or for more information, contact St. John’s Health Diabetes Education and Nutrition at 307.733.7222.

Resources and educational materials are available online at www.stjohns.health/diabetes.
