How You Can Contribute to Health care in Jackson

Our volunteers and volunteens contribute valuable services and spend quality time with patients, residents, and families. By simply talking or being near a patient, volunteers act as a “healing presence” that provide support and hope during troubled times.

There are many different and wonderful ways to volunteer at St. John’s Health. Please contact the Volunteer Office for specifics.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Auxiliary
  • Sage Living
  • Care Volunteers
  • Pet Partners
  • Healing Touch
  • Music Therapy
  • Hospice
  • Spiritual Care
  • Oncology

The “Volunteens” program is open to students age 14 to 17. Participants serve in many areas of the hospital and provide comfort to patients. Volunteers will be thoroughly educated on proper hospital etiquette. This is a great program for teens who have an interest in the medical field or who just want to help their community. Please fill out the Volunteens application form if interested.
